Which THOMSON products are guaranteed by TCL?

Since March 2007, TCL has marketed its TV products under the THOMSON brand, under licence from Technicolor SA. TCL does not guarantee products other than televisions; and only THOMSON brand televisions marketed since 2007.

Warranty provided by TCL on its THOMSON products

For any problems with the products mentioned above, for which we cover the guarantee, we invite you to refer to the User Manual, provided with your television or downloadable in PDF under the heading "User Manual".     

If you do not find the solution to the problem encountered and in order that we can help you to resolve it, you can:
- Either send us a message by filling in the form under the heading “How to contact us" and "Contact Product Assistance"
- Or call us from Monday to Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 16:30 p.m. (price of a local  call with no surcharge) on:

In both cases, please prepare the following information:
- Product reference
- Serial number Where to find the serial number
- Your purchase invoice    
- A description of your problem    

Please note that the warranty period begins on the date shown on your purchase invoice. The warranty can be transferred between end users but only the date of purchase applicable to the first buyer is valid.

How can I get my product repaired?

To get your product repaired, we invite you to contact the retailer who sold you the product. He can get in contact with us to deal with the problem.

Please note that, with all repairs, TCL reserves the right (which it alone may assess) to replace spare parts on faulty products with new parts or factory-reconditioned parts.

Warranty Exclusions

This warranty does not apply:

1. To damage caused by accidents, including but not limited to damage caused by lightning, fire or water.

2. To shipping costs between the user's home and the place of repair and other shipping costs and risks directly or indirectly concerning this warranty.    

3. To damage to the product caused by negligence, incorrect use, including but not limited to failure to abide by the user instructions, repair or installation of the product for domestic use or in compliance with the user instructions for correct installation and use, particularly regarding the mode of use, screen scorching caused by extended display of the fixed logo of a television broadcaster.

4. To product modifications, adaptations and alterations for use in a country other than those for which it was designed and originally manufactured or any damage caused by such modifications.  

5. To product modifications, adaptations and alterations made by an unauthorised service centre or by a private individual.     

6. To uses other than customary domestic use and for use in a country other than those for which it was designed and originally manufactured.   

7. To missing or illegible serial numbers.   

8. To defects of individual pixels when they are fewer than the following values:    
- Pixels off: 7
- Pixels on: 3  
- Total off and on: 8  

9. To phenomena beyond the control of the manufacturer, including but not limited to areas badly covered or not covered by TNT broadcast, ...   

10. To technical restrictions or specificities as mentioned in the user manual, including but not limited to the USB ports dedicated solely to product maintenance, …

 

My product is Out of Warranty or is subject to a warranty exclusion

If the warranty period has expired or your product is no longer under warranty, we invite you to contact us on +46 13 356 250 for Sweden and Denmark or + 47 62 82 41 01 for Norway or +358 400 508228 for Finland (price of a local call with no surcharge)(*) to request repair that you will be required to pay for.

Products with a Warranty Extension offered by distributors

Some distributors offer complementary warranty contracts. These contracts are specific and it is up to you to read the fine print before making your choice. If you have agreed to such a contract and wish to make a claim on it if your appliance breaks down, we invite you to refer to the terms and conditions of application of this contract: documents required, call number and terms to be met.
